Does Anyone Know Where to Find Parts for This A/C Recovery Machine?

jweb47 on Fri August 17, 2007 7:54 PM User is offline

Need parts and/or service manual for a Solar Model 8100 A/C recovery/recycle machine. If you have any information that could lead to finding a keypad or other parts for one of these, please contact me. Thanks

It would appear that company is more well known for it's "jumper pacs and battery chargers" today. You can go into Pep boys, or autozone and look for that brand, then find a "contact' address on the box. I can't find anything on the web, so the name is probably something other than just solar.. Look for this type of jump pac for the company info, then e-mail them and ask if they have the owners manual available...Hope this helps..

This is what I've been running into also. I found out right away that Solar was a division of Century but couldn't find much on either. I sent the text below to every company I could find that sold Century products but haven't received any useful information as yet. I'm glad I wasn't the only one that couldn't find anything. Thanks for looking.

I'm trying to get some information on a discontinued product made by Solar, a division of Century Manufacturing. The product is a refrigerant recovery unit, model 8100 (160-013-000) made in March of 1995. For some reason, I'm having unbelievable difficulty even finding a web site for Century. I'm familiar with Century products but, didn't know until recently that they had a division called Solar. If you can help me track down ANY information on either company, I would really be grateful.

I have Century's homepage in my bookmarks:

http://www.centurymfgco.com/

But, when you visit the page it appears they do not want to tell you much...

You might try an e-mail to admin@ or info@ - using the page above.

Contact Clore Automotive (800-328-2921) regarding Solar brand. They make the Solar brand battery chargers Chick posted and can probably help or steer you in the right direction for Solar A/C service equip.
