One more 1993 Astro AC question

Ace Barker on Sun August 26, 2007 10:46 AM User is offline

Year: 1993
Make: Chevrolet
Model: Astro
Engine Size: 4.3
Refrigerant Type: R134a
Ambient Temp: 80
Pressure Low: 32
Pressure High: 195
Country of Origin: United States

Just a quick question. Are these numbers OK? While looking for the fan resistor, I stuck the gauges on. Its blowing about 45 degrees at idle. I figure with 196K she could probably use a new fan clutch. Temps will drop with increased airflow. This is a front and rear AC. Temp checked in the middle vents.

When I converted it, I pretty much did everything as far as fix the leak, flush, new dryer, changed out the oil and put 134 in. Seems OK. Takes a little while to cool down but with 100 days in Atlanta, it seems to be doing fine. I didn't change the condenser to a cross flow as that would probably have helped considerably.

One more question. I used a white O tube screen. should I have used a blue Ford?

Thanks!

Ace...
