new compressor and no oil

Are you able to drive your vehicle with no oil in the compressor, to the local AC shop to have it flushed out. I know it has a clutch that I can keep in the off position. FYI, the compressor is rebuilt, I don't have the equipment at home to flush the rest of the system.
I am at a impass, because I can't drive it, and I need the compressor as part of the pulley system/belt to drive it .

If oil is required can you pour it in and drive it with the rebuilt plugs still on?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

You can drive the vehicle with the auto a/c clutch unplugged. It's just an idles pulley as long as you do not engage the clutch.
