Year: 1983
Make: Volvo
Model: 240
I'm wondering about the possibility of swapping in an a/c system from a '93 Volvo into an '83 model 240 that I have. The '93 model was totaled and the system was in good shape before the accident. I have a non-working a/c system in the '83 model car now that has the York compressor, but swapping out to the Sanden unit from the '93 won't be a problem as I have the parts to do that as well.
The systems in the older 240's never worked all that well, but the newer ones weren't too bad overall and were much better than the old ones.
I'm aware that the entire system will have to be exchanged but I'm not scared of doing that as I do engine swaps, etc. in these cars all of the time.
Any words of advice?
Thanks!
