Ester oil

rmlanes on Wed June 25, 2008 4:24 PM User is offline

Year: 1993
Make: Ford
Model: Bronco
Engine Size: 5.8L
Refrigerant Type: R12
Ambient Temp: 100+
Country of Origin: United States

I am in the process of rebuilding my A/C system. I have available enough R12 to charge a couple of systems.

I wish to know if I can use Ester oil (R134a ESTER 100uv) as the lubricant for an R12 system?

Thanks for a reply,

Rocky

Just another brick in the wall

Had a little mule I fed him castor oil and every time he jumped the fence he fertilized the soil

Thanks, Interdynamics has a statement on this bottle of oil "DO NOT USE IN ANYTHING EXCEPT A R134a system". This threw me for a loop!

No telling what's in that magic in a can.

Just get some real POE oil like the BVA Auto 100.
