I am kinda certain that my compressor clutch on my truck is slipping. It makes a slight "squeeking" noise when i turn the a/c on and it takes a while for it to blow cold air.
How would i go about adjusting it/seeing if is slipping?

Could be a weak belt tensioner, or a bad pulley, remove the belt and check that all pulleys turn freely without binding etc. Clutch air gap should be around .02, Gap is adjusted by removing the center bolt, sliding the clutch driver off and removing a shim til the proper gap is reached..Hope this helps..

Then again it's a 10 year old FS10. Could just be a dead compressor on its last leg. Does the front of the compressor have some red colored dust on the hub?

I doubt its a bad belt/tensioner.. i have a good belt(Gatorback) and good tension on the belt. Also i dont see the compressor leaking any thing out.

To tell you the truth i wouldnt be able to tell if there is red dust on there... it has alot of mud/dirt. I still get good pressures from the compressor.. it just take a while to cool.

If i get good pressures could the compressor still be going bad? Something i forgot to mention is it has 220,000+ miles on it.. and it might have the org. compressor.

What are the low and high side pressures at idle and 1500RPM?
