Year: 1982
Make: Chevy
Model: Luv
Engine Size: 2.2
Refrigerant Type: R-12

I've finally located a used compressor for my son's Luv pick-up. never could locate a reman or new one. The first test on the bench were encouraging at least. It's not frozen up and when turned by hand it will pull my finger into the suction input and hold it. I have to pull it off. I'm not able to hold my finger over the output port because of the pressure..

Now to the question. I can't find out how much oil or R-12 I need to put in the system. I can't find it listed on any charts. I did find that an 85 Isuzu used 5 or 6 oz of oil and about 35 oz of R-12. I think that the Isuzu is the same as the Luv. Any body have a chart that has the Luv listed. I don't see the amounts in the shop manual. This is the original AC, not an after market unit.

Tim I need to get a dryer/accumulator and o-rings on order.

That's where I got the information on the Isuzu, but didn't see anything on the Luv. Maybe your page 2 is different from mine but my page 2 is for the Audi and BMW. I think I looked pretty hard, I already had that page book marked and refer to it often.
