How to fix "crimped" hoses

trenaro on Mon May 18, 2009 11:15 AM User is offlineView users profile

Year: 2001
Make: Pontiac
Model: Grand Prix
Engine Size: 3.8
Refrigerant Type: 134
Ambient Temp: 75

The hose that goes from the back of the compressor to the accumulator is what I call crimped. How do you repair those?

Thanks

They sell aftermarket manifold assemblys for those, e-mail the guys at ackits.com for a price. Cheaper than trying to repair yours...

I just replaced my manifold lines assembly in January on my 1994 GMC Sub, high pressure crimp was leaking. Had similar assembly repaired about 6 years ago on '88 Mazda truck, leaking high pressure crimp. So these do go bad over time.
