Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to read this post.
I few years ago I just about fried my a/c compressor.
It was grinding and rattling until one day when I turned the vehicle off and everything cooled down...the engine would not turn over until I disconnected the belt.
I was not aware that I was circulating metal all through the system.
I thought everything was all contained in the compressor and all I would need to do is replace the compressor and have the system charged,

Now I am aware of the damage that I have done throughout the whole system which involves flushing/vacuuming of the system.
I was advised at this forum I need a new compressor, condenser, orifice tube and accumulator/dryer. Also, to flush the remaining parts completely and dry to bare metal.

Could you tell me if I can flush the manifold and tube assembly and other associated hoses that involve the system?

Any information will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Rick

You can flush them but make sure they are clean, use a lot of air when you are done flushing.. Did you inspect the O tube yet? that will be a good indication of the damge done to the system..
