Refrigerant oils

Year: 1988
Make: Suzuki
Model: Samurai
Refrigerant Type: 134a
Country of Origin: United States

I understand POE is also known as ester oil and is most often used to retrofit an a/c from R-12 to R-134a and PAG oil is for 134a only. Is this correct?

What oil should I use for my 1988 Suzuki Samurai Arizona Moblie Air a/c kit when I change over to using a Nippondenso 10P08E compressor? The Nippondenso compressor is commonly used in late 80's to early 90's Suzuki vehicles.

I thought PAG oils are "better" but why is the BVA 100 oil recommended to me in the past?

Is the blue oil in this thread good to use? I think it's 150 viscosity though I'm not sure.

Since you are starting with a fresh system we recommend the BVA Auto 100 oil with our system. We have used it for 10+ years in our own shop and have no problems related to it. DEC (Double End Capped) PAG is just a newer version of PAG which will not attract the moisture like the original PAG.
