a/c temp switches

Year: 2004
Make: dodge
Model: ram
Engine Size: 5.7
Refrigerant Type: 134
Ambient Temp: 90
Pressure Low: 45
Country of Origin: United States

I was wondering if anyone knew how hard it is to change the a/c temp switches? My a/c compressor kicks off and on while driving down the road and when i come to a stop. So i want to change out the ambient temp switch out first and then go from there. The reason i want to change out the ambient one first is because it seems to only act up in the middle of the day. There is 3 different switches the evaporator, refrigerant, and the ambient temp switches. I think it is an electrical issue which is why i want to start here.

A common reason for the compressor failing to engage when it is hot under the hood is the clutch gap. You should test a few things before starting to replace parts. When it is not working, see if you have 12 volts going to the compressor clutch coil.

Getting us a high and low pretty would help us out a lot too.
