I am very new to this sight, but I am really trying to get the A/C working in my Blazer again. A few years ago I replaced the engine in my truck. When I did, I disconnected the A/C lines. The air conditioning was only getting slightly cool. I figured a small leak. I am finally getting around to putting the ac back together. I have just purchased new ac lines, accumulator, and orifice tube.(my terminology may be off?) I have a vacuum pump and gages, but, I'm really unsure as to the exact procedure(and capacities) I should go through to get my ac back in working order. I know I am new here and do not want to be a pain but if someone could give me some step by step I would be very thankful!
Whatever you're not changing, flush, check the front of the compressor for oil/dirt, as they may be were you leak was, if so you need to change the front seal, or better, change the compressor use all new O rings, nylog the O rings, available from Ackits.com, add back the proper amount of Pag 150, pull a deep vacuum and recharge the factory amount back into the vacuum...straight forward really...
