Question for GM Tech

Following is Not a problem for me, but I do wonder:

Converted my '87 DeVille in '97. Was happy with results. Then, the AC system would 'ramp down' on the blower speed when reaching set temp. Two years ago I replaced the engine and also replaced the accumulator. From recommendations here I also replaced the White OT with Blue tube. Since that OT change, the system does not 'ramp' the fan-motor speed....I just punch Low speed button when it approaches coat-wearing time. Vent temps are same as before, but I don't understand why/if going from White tube to Blue would somehow defeat the blower-speed control? Like I posted.....not a problem, but..... Thanks

At 2, I went home with a 10. At 10 I woke up with a 2 !!

sounds like a blower motor module control problem- just an unhappy coincidence.....

The number one A/C diagnostic tool there is- is to know how much refrigerant is in the system- this can only be done by recovering and weighing the refrigerant!!
Just a thought.... 65% of A/C failures in my 3200 car diagnostic database (GM vehicles) are due to loss of refrigerant due to a leak......
