66 mustang compressor hose connection

Year: 1966
Make: Ford
Model: Mustang
Engine Size: 289
Refrigerant Type: R12
Country of Origin: United States

Recently purchased a new compressor for the factory ac system in my 1966 mustang. Packaged with it were two plastic washers. I would think these are to seal the valves to the compressor. When I look at the connection on the compression it looks like there are already gaskets like this on the compressor. Would these be extras. I don't see any way to install them.

Most likely they are for rotorlock valves. Post a phot of them and the compressor connections along with the ones on the hoses located on the vehicle.

Manufacturers usually use seals under the sealing caps on the compressors and send new seals in the box in case the ones used for shipping are compressed. The teflon washers that came on the compressor are likely fine.

Those are rotolock washers. They can be removed and replaced with the new ones supplied.
