Hi , i have now passed my City & Guilds aircon course and collecting tools to add to my collection. I have dye injector , and a good electronic leak detector and wonder if other members have ever used ultrasonic detectors with head phones. The ultrasonic unit sounds good by what i have read about but would like to hear from members that have used these on cars to know if with no sign of where a leak is , if they can convert a high frequency leak of a slow volume to be easy heard in the headphones. I know these are not all the same quality but i was thinking of one that costs approx ã250 UKP and was thinking if they are worth using , members on the forum would know.
Thanks for help in advance.
I have the amprobe detector. It works well in noisy environments such as in HVAC work. For automotive work, the Inficon Tek-mate or the H10PM is great. The Tek-mate is only about $160.00 and well worth the money.
