A/C bleed line broken

Skunk22 on Fri July 22, 2011 8:52 AM User is offline

Year: 1966
Make: Chevy
Model: Chevelle
Engine Size: 327
Refrigerant Type: R12 / 134
Ambient Temp: 100
Pressure Low: 0
Pressure High: 0
Country of Origin: United States

The evaporator oil bleed line on my 66 Chevelle has been broken off right at the POA valve nut. The POA is not damaged. Is there any way to repair this line without replacing the entire evaporator unit? I have pressure tested the unit and it is in good shape except the bleed line. What about some kind of brass compression fitting would that work? Does anyone make a repair kit?
