adapter fittings for parallel flow condenser

aliaZ on Sat June 16, 2012 8:35 AM User is offline

Year: 1993
Make: Nissan`
Model: 300zx

Does anyone know of an adapter fitting that will allow me to use one of the universal condensers with my OEM hoses so that I don't have to get custom hoses made?

Thanks

Do what I did when I installed an aftermarket unit. Take it to an A/C shop that can make hoses. Tell them to make 2 short jumper hoses from your original hoses to the condenser. Assemble them right there, mark them with a magic marker for the right angles, crimp them, and then tell you what O-rings you will need. Mine is working great for years, no leaks.

If you make a new adapter hose. Why not just rebuild your original hose to fit the updated condenser.

Hi TRB' It would have been much more expensive and a lot more work to make all new hoses on my car. So, depending on how tight things are under the hood, all new lines might work.
