I have a '96 Avalon which isn't cooling nearly as well as it should and I was hoping for some advice. Today the ambient temp is 80F, humidity 60%. Center vent temp is 57F. High side pressure holds steady at 200. Low side oscillates slowly between 35-42 over about 1.25 minutes per cycle. The clutch doesn't engage and disengage, but just stays on unless I turn the A/C off. Both fans in the engine compartment are turning when the A/C is on. Last summer I replaced the condensor, pump, and drier. I did my best at that time to put in the right amount of R134 (after putting a vacuum on the system for an hour or so). I didn't have a scale to measure the last can to determine exactly how much of that can went in, but I tried to estimate based on how heavy it felt what percentage of the can was used. I can't say whether it's any different from last year, since I didn't have a vent thermometer then and I wasn't the driver of the car. Any thoughts?
