How to purge air from oil/dye injector?

texan4ever on Thu July 12, 2012 11:53 AM User is offline

I am looking at buying an oil/dye injector. I have been looking at something like the Mastercool 82375.
http://www.mastercool.com/pages/uv_dyes_injectors.html

I read the instructions on the mastercool web page. They explain how to remove the air when using on a evacuated system (I understand this part)
http://www.mastercool.com/media/82375-inst_web.pdf

What I dont understand is how to used the device on a charged system:
1) I add oil to the canister and then close.
2) Now I have oil and air in the canister.
3) how do I get the air out without removing the oil/dye?

If I connect the device to the gauges and vacuum pump, wont the pump also suck all the oil/dye out of the canister as part of the evacuation process?
