Compressor pressure switch

This system is already a 134A and has been a working system.
I needed to replace the AC psi switch on the compressor, the orginal sensor has a single wire. Its a grounded circuit. The new style sensors are 2 wire and claim that one wire goes to the orginal sensor wire and the other to the nearest ground. When wiring it this way my coolant fans stays on. My assumption is because the of the new sensor is a normally closed circuit. My FSM says that when you turn on the AC the switch closes allowing the coolant fan to turn on and stay on. By only using the 1 wire does this now open the sensor contacts upon turning on AC switch? Then whether or not the psi in the system meets the sensor requirements turn on the fan?.. Just trying to be sure its going to work correctly. thanks
