Is there a list or chart of the location of cabin air filters ? Are they behind the glove compartment ?

Thanks ,
Wyr
God bless

Can't speak for all vehicles but on my '09 Ford Escape, it's accessed from under the hood in the area in front of the windshield. Mine doesn't come with one installed nor did I install one. Just look for a screen mesh, etc. that keeps debris out where it pulls in outside air and it's more than likely right there or the pocket for it.

Location and ease of replacement varies.

Some are a behind the glovebox, no-tools-required, sitting upright in the passenger seat 5 minute job (Acura RSX)

Some are in the center of the car and require a good bit of disassembly and standing on one's head in the floorboard to get to (1st gen Mazda 3)

Some cars don't even have a filter, yet they have a space to install one in.

I'm told that some are at the base of the windshield and are accessed from under the hood. Never done one of those personally, however.
