If you are asking how to remove the clutch, you are there, remove the bolt in the front, remove the snap ring holding the pully and slide it off...
You may have to wiggle the clutch driver if it doesn't come right off, but you're changing it anyway?

The little cap screw is removed but I can not get at the snap ring as the plate with the three rubber absorbers will not come off to get at the snap ring?

use opposing flat head screwdrivers to wiggle it, being careful not to bend it, it will come off...hope this helps..

Thanks, it came apart.
I don't know if you could offer more help as I don't know the make of the compressor and can not find a repair manual on the specific model. Also can not find out where to get parts like seals and bearings. (I live in Australia)
The only marks I can find is this number stamped on it. L007792.
Is it possible to remove and replace the seal without dismantling?

What was the problem with your compressor?? I ask because over here they seem pretty bullet proof. Pulley bearings once in a while..Never had one that leaked.. If it's just the bearing (pulley) then bring the pulley to a parts store that sells them and let them match one up..Our local parts store always asks for the measurements, and do not sell them by make etc.... Otherwise you might want to buy a reman..Hope this helps...

Thanks, just saw a pic of panasonic, looks like it.
Leaking I think, UV shows evidence on the seal and all over clutch

In my experience, front seal leaks on those are not common, (but everything wears out eventually..) if yours is leaking you might want to look into a reman.... Might cost more for the tools to change it... Hope this helps...

Thanks again, My problem is wanting to do everything my self.
Trying to get information is my main problem, If I knew what the special tools looked like I would probably be capable of making them myself but I have come up against a brick wall as to where to get parts and manuals.
The car repair manuals leave air con out (Too difficult to be entrusted to mere mortals) and have separate manuals which I have not found yet.

My RX-7 has a separate manual called the "Body Electrical Troubleshooting Manual" that contains the rebuild information for the compressor along with all the other HVAC system info. I'm betting there is something similar for the MX-6. Go get the first RAR file listed here: http://jdmfsm.info/Auto/Japan/Mazda/626/ and you should have the info you need.
