Hello Everyone,

I am writing to inquire about a A/C system for my Pickup. I am doing a engine swap from a 350 to a 454 and I am wondering will the system be transferable or Do I need to upgrade? If I have to upgrade can I do the work myself and then take it to the shop to have the refrigerant put in?

I'm sure there will be lots of Q&A for this subject, but as an owner of a truck of this era I'll get it started.

Does the truck currently have factory air or after market air? The firewall cut out is different with and without A/C

Does the truck have the taller radiator like was used with the 454 or the shorter one? I ask because some trucks with factory A/C with the shorter radiator routed one of the A/C hose/line over top of the radiator. The 454 had to have the taller radiator so the hose/line was routed elsewhere.
