Tempted back to R12

Bought my '87 DeVille in '96. ONE of the things I had fix was the AC system. At that time 'the word' was that R12 production was to be/was already ended, so I changed the system to R134a. Now that compressor is leaking at the front of the unit. I've got plenty of R12 plus accumulator/tube/o-rings etc. I've had to recharge that system twice and have always been a tad nervous with a percentage of the R12 charge. I have to take it down to replace the compressor/accumulator/tube/rings and have a new hose set for it. Good temptation/Bad temptation? Either way I gotta crawl under her.....
I've kept my '81 F100 R12.
