I am replacing everything but the evaporator and one ac line. Once everything is flushed and ready to go, I want to add the necessary oil and button up the system just before taking it to the garage where they will charge the system. The question for me is how much oil and where to add it. I assume once I get the total oil required I know ho much but am confused on where. I have heard to put 1/3 in the copressor, 1/3 in the condenser, and 1/3 in the dryer. Is that the proper procedure?
Spreading it around like that works just fine. Once the charge circulates it goes where it is needed.
Do NOT jumper the cycling switch when you charge it. let it cycle at idle while charging.
