Personal thank you to bohica2xo for adding an article to the FAQ forum on flushing a compressor. You did a nice job and I'm sure it will help our readers when that procedure is needed.

Thanks bohica2xo for sharing that there is nothing like a photo it speaks louder than words sure would be nice if we had just a section for folks who wanted to contribute play by play photos like evaporator, condenser, compressor r&r, just a thought, I realize that would probably be unrealistic and take up a lot of space and cost a lot of $$$ but maybe have it a private section and have it to were only folks that would like to donate a few bucks be able to access it that would be fair, O I guess i really opened up a can of worms now! I will now go stand in the corner for 30 minutes "with my laptop"

MRBill at this point in time we have as much space/bandwidth as we need. We have something like 500 Gig bandwidth and at the peek of the season we were in the 60 gig a month range. When I went with the full dedicated server I covered my self with usage needs. Its not cheap but we have not had page delays or page cannot be found issues since we went that route.

If anyone wants to add a article in the FAQ forum just send it to me and I'll check it out and/or add it. I blocked posting to that forum as people keep replying to the threads which just cluttered up the thread.

I have said this before it takes more than just myself to make this forum work. There are so many times I have learned something reading the different posts. So I really do consider this site all of ours! Sure Arizona Mobile Air (ACKits.com) pays the bills but we sure need great supporters/members to make it a great auto a/c source for information.

Thanks everyone.

That compressor was to be an idler untill a streetrod is done - my brother wanted to convert his 302 to serpentine belt. We went to the wrecking yard, looking for a serpentine system with all of the original parts.

We stripped the front of the motor, and were cleaning up the parts - we both figured the compressor was junk, but would do for an idler utill the car was finished. I thought flushing it would yield some gross junk to take pictures of... turns out the unit is pretty good! So I grabbed the camera and shot some pics.

I was amazed to see that compressor pull 1000 microns, turning it by hand. On sucessive tries it would only pull 5000 microns - untill I shot another 15 cc's of BVA100 into the inlet. Then it would pull 1000 microns again.

Hey if that the case we can promote the BVA Auto 100 oil as a compressor performance enhancement. Sounds as good as the claims ICE32 makes!

Whoo hoo, time to get the advertisements and packaging together. Double the performance of your old compressor with BVA Auto 100!!!!!

LMAO @ TRB - Is it true you put BVA on your cornflakes?

Actually what that shows is the need for oil return in the suction line. Without any fresh oil in the intake, the suction capacity of the pump dropped.

BVA does seem to have good solvent properties - it loosens the oil/dirt on the outside of the compressor just about as well as WD-40...
