Email Issue

TRB on Wed January 05, 2005 8:25 PM User is offlineView users profile

My email seems to have a mind of its own right now so I may be missing some emails. The forum responses are not coming in and my email traffic has been real slow today. I'm trying to get a hold of Fetch but he is goofing off again!

Must have, as he said he did not get my phone call last night. He is checking into this for us. I do seem to be getting some email but if I don't respond to someone please don't take it as I'm ignoring you. Well that is everyone but Chick.

Hey Chick how did the Earthlink move go or not go?

The only email affected is that sent from this website - not from ACkits.com nor from Tim's personal email. There was a relaying problem with the new mailserver that I believe I've just resolved. I'll know if Tim gets a notice from this post. ;-)

Fetch try it again as I changed the mail server back to ackits this morning. Just changed it back to autoacforum but did get the response when set at ackits just a second ago.

The guys that host our WEB site, IX Web Hosting, sometimes get spamed so bad that they have to shut the mail server down for a while to clean it up. I try to do my part to help. Before I sign up for a new service of forum of some kind, I go into my IX profile and assign a new alias to my base name. Then I use the alias to sign up. If I starting getting heavy spam on that address, I just delete it. What I wish I could do is just change the alias to "return to sender".

Bye the bye, anybody out there redesigning WEB sites?

It seemed to work but came in under your email (HMS) address. It should have came in under mine as set in the forum settings. I would not want members email addresses going out in replies. Remember that anytime someone responds to a post and the individual has selected to notify. The forum sends out this email to the selected individual.

PS: I'm at the house if you need me!

It was purposely set to mine for testing. ;-) This message should come through right. I spent like 4 hours on this and brought in a technician from SmarterTools.com and it turned out to be an insanely simple problem.
