Why settle for a mouse gun SBR when you can have one of these?
Mouse gun? maybe - really a subjective title. To each his own. I say a 7.62 needs a belt, or it is underfed. If I want to send 7.62's downrange, I reach for the M240.
SBR? - Absolutely not. Count the pin holes in the lower receiver.

Title 18, Part I, Chapter, Sec. 921
(8) The term ''short-barreled rifle'' means a rifle having one or more barrels less than sixteen inches in length and any weapon made from a rifle (whether by alteration, modification, or otherwise) if such weapon, as modified, has an overall length of less than twenty-six inches.
MG's are not SBR's. The form 2's on those weapons all read MG. Your snip from title 18 does not apply. 'Twas never made from anything else, was born as a MG.
