computer problem

HECAT on Thu May 25, 2006 9:41 AM User is offline

Dear Tech Support:

Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0. I soon noticed that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a lot of space and valuable resources.

In addition, Wife 1.0 installed itself into all other programs and now monitors all other system activity. Applications such as Poker Night 10.3, Football 5.0, Hunting and Fishing 7.5, and Racing 3.6.

I can't seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to run my favorite applications. I'm thinking about going back to Girlfriend 7.0, but the uninstall doesn't work on Wife 1.0. Please help!

Thanks,
Troubled User....

Dear Troubled User:

This is a very common problem that men complain about.

Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it is just a Utilities and Entertainment program. Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHING!!! It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend 7.0. It is impossible to uninstall, or purge the program files from the system once installed.

You cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0 because Wife 1.0 is designed to not allow this. Look in your Wife 1.0 manual under Warnings-Alimony/Child Support. I recommend that you keep Wife 1.0 and work on improving the situation. I suggest installing the background application "Yes Dear" to alleviate software augmentation.

The best course of action is to enter the command C:\APOLOGIZE! Because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal anyway.

Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high maintenance. Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs, such as Clean and Sweep 3.0, Cook It 1.5! and Do Bills 4.2.

However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch the program Nag Nag 9.5. Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0!
WARNING!!! DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3. This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system!

Best of luck,
Tech Support

LOL! Hang tough! If Vista ships that'll create some new believers.

Hecat...I'm running two G/F 7.0, and cannot get either to recognize the other.. Well, I didn't want either to operate at the same time, but all of a sudden they both begin promting me at the same time, for different programs to run. I'm getting to old for this..Going back to windows 94...

I solved that problem with Wife 2.0 but can't say I'd recommend it to Chick.

Chick, As with BigChris most of my problems have been solved with Wife 2.0. Before I found this new option I also ran multiple GF 7.0. It is difficult to manage but can be done, even running more than two. The best way is to run only one at a time but on occasion it is possible to run two together. If they communicate well with each other, this will usually end up with a very happy man. But it can backfire and wipe our multiple GF 7.0's at one time. Good Luck

HeCat is a better man than I. I encountered several instances where GF 7.0a or b chose to communicate when I had GF 7.0c suspended. That caused a kernel panic that almost resulted in an abort. I'm just not designed for multi-tasking.

Naw, I wouldn't recommend it. I upgraded to wife 2.0 in 1999. By 2003 that OS crashed due to Old Boyfriend 22.2. (Wife 1.0 crashed and wiped out all financial records because SHE installed Girlfriend 1.01.) I've since installed Bachelor 3.0 and so far it's cooking along just fine. The only drawback I've seen i's that Bachelor3.0 has also downloaded Lazy99 virus. This has caused decreased in performance by ME 1.0 (the original OS) especially in the home environment. Vacuum 2.2 and and Dishwasher 2.5 don't run as often or as well as need be. Kids 3.0 has run great for 19 years (must be Linux based) although Daughter 2.0 is getting a little hard to launch after 15 years. I may need to run Hard Life 1.5 on that application.

Life is just one unmaskable interrupt after another until you encounter the BSOD.
