triple/multipe pass radiators

What are people's views on multiple/triple past radiators. They seem a popular solution to improved cooling. Do they work better than an equivalently manfactured/quality single pass radiator, and if they do can you explain why?. Im familiar that in the ac condensor stakes, that the best condensors are single pass and multi pass tubes snaking there way back and forwards across the radiator are out.

Must be cracking up, seems like this and GMtechs post popped up before, regardless of the actual configuration of the radiator, the bottom line is the rate of heat transfer in BTU per unit time. Use to have manuals specifying this from the radiator manufacturers, but do not feel they publish this anymore. So I guess you have to make your own measurements today.
