Where can a trinary switch be placed in a TXV AC circuit? (This application is a 80-91 VW Vanagon and my question is general? I'm wondering if it can be on the high side vapor line right at the compressor since pressure should be the same for liquid or vapor between the compressor and TXV, but maybe...

Thanks Tim, 3 oz would be about 20% of the system total oil capacity which was about 15 oz.
