Millwright on Sun August 12, 2007 10:01 AM User is offline

Year: 1990
Make: ford
Model: f-150
Engine Size: 302

Will a hose assambly from a 1995 ford f-150 fit a 1990 ford f-150 dryer?I am changing my condensor in my 1990 to a 1995 because i`m switching to 134a and my old one is shot anyway,so will this work

I think you will also need the liquid line from the condensor to the bottom of the evaporator where the O-tube is.

The liquid line has the same fittings as the 1990 comdensor but the highside of the 1995 condensor has a larger fitting then the 1990 one so the 1995 hose assembly will bolt to the 1990 dryer?I know the 1990 and 1995 have the same compressor.

Ford only uses a couple sizes on the spring locks..So if it looks like the same size try it..But if it looks even slightly different get the right one..The compressor manifold is the same on all the FS10's and FX15's that have the mounting going into the rear of the compressor..

Now I'm confused..?? If you're changing your accumulator, "any" new one will be compatable for R134a..They make them all today with X7 or X9 disicant..Please don't use an old used accumulator..
Just check the box or accumulator itself and it should say compatable with R12 or R134a refrigerant..This way you get the right size with no guess work...Hope this helps..
(Don't use a "new old stock" though as that will be most likely for R12....

I have a new dryer for a 1990 and needed a new condenson so being I am changing over to 134a I was told to change the condensor to one that is made to work with 134a. and that a 1990 condensor won`t work to good with 134a.
