I changed my a/c in 1980 corvette over to 134 changing the drier orifice tube and seals at the same time. I recharged the system after pulling a vacuum. When driving at road speed (55-60) the a/c blows cold but upon slowing down the unit begins to blow outside temperature air. Back up to road speed it begins to blow cold again. Useful for hiway trips not so good in town. Low side pressure with engine running 40. Engine off 200. I don't currently have a high side connection. Also upon shutoff with a/c operating there is a sort of gurgling sound from under the dash. Any suggestions would be appreciated. It's hot in Utah.
You are going to need the high side pressures. What adaptor are you missing, or you don't have a Manifold set? How much refrigerant was added back? Was the systrem flushed of the old oil, how much and what type was added back?? Was anything "other than" R134a and the proper type and amount of oil added to the system??

Freedoms just another word for nothing left to lose
engine running,
high side 25
low side 33
PAG oil 8 oz added back to system
24 oz 134 with stop leak in one can
no system flush
The gurgling and poor cooling is probably too much oil. Leaving the old Mineral Oils in the system (no flush) adding PAG and sealer means you probably have more "goo" than oil. If you have any cooling at all then your 25 high side pressure is probably inaccurate, may not have depressed the schraeder enough to get a good pressure reading. Recover refrigerant and inspect O-tube. Be prepared to flush everything as soon as you open to prevent sealer from hardening. You may have some salvageable parts.
