This may have been posted before, but is all R134a the same? Some cans say 18% better cooling, or super duper additive makes ac colder etc. or is all just hype? Is there one preferred brand or type one should use?

The "synthetic" cans are what get me. I thought all 134a was synthetic? I don't think they're pulling this stuff out of wells!

There is not difference in R134a. All the other stuff is just crap people mix with it to sell you on it. Use only pure R134a and you will be fine refrigerant wise.

read the can a little closer. It doesn't say "18% colder". It says "up to 18% colder". It has some oil garbage added to it.

Funny thing is many of the DEC PAGs already have an oil enhancer in them. So if you buy one of the miracle oil enhancers will you get double the protection?
