I am having a problem with the compressor coming on and off while driving. It seems to be random as far as it shutting off and on. I replaced what I thought was a faulty accumulator switch, but after about 15 minutes of driving the compressor shut off again. Any suggestions out there on where I should go next?
Thanks,
Matt

Two things come to mind. Does the car run a little hot? If so, check the coolant (anti freeze). If the engine runs warmer than normal, the computer will shut it off. Second, make sure the clutch gap is set properly I know it's a hard spot to reach, but use a business card , ENGINE OFF and see if the card fits snuggly in the air gap, if not, the gap needs to be adjusted..Let us know what you find, and do check the coolant level..
Hope this helps..

I would get a set of gauges on it and check the pressures. Springlock vehicles are known for leaking.

Thanks for the ideas. I checked the car and it was dangerously low on coolant. I filled it up to the appropriate level, and will test it out in tomorrow. I will keep you all posted. Thanks again!
