r12 to r134. "o" ring replacement

deanno on Fri May 01, 2009 8:02 AM User is offline

Year: 93
Make: mitsibushi
Model: pajero/montero
Engine Size: 2.5td
Refrigerant Type: r12
Country of Origin: United Kingdom

Ok i have decided to go with R134a and understand i have to chance the drier and replace the "o"rings. The system did have r12 but that has leaked out sometime in the past. So i want to get this right the first time because of the expense here in the UK. I have a dual a/c system, front and back of the car. Would any one know what size "o"rings and how many would be required for this. I have asked around in the UK and i must be talking in a foreign language as know one knows or unwilling to tell me?. I'm also after the seals including shaft seal for the compressor, its a 10pa15c. Which again in the UK they just want to sell me a refurbish one at a cost of £300. Are there any shops in the US that will ship to the UK, i have emailed some but had no reply.
I understand your Montero's were all petrol models but would this https://www.ackits.com/pc/37-13907/Mitsubishi92Montero_3-0/37-13907+-+Drier+-+Accumulator fit my diesel model. It looks externally the same, not sure on the sizes because would have to strip the front end to reach mine.
