1978 GM oil amout

Year: 1978
Make: Chevrolet
Model: El Camino
Engine Size: 350 CID
Refrigerant Type: R134a/org R12
Ambient Temp: 85*
Pressure Low: 0
Pressure High: 0
Country of Origin: United States

I'm reassembling the AC system on my daughters 1978 Chevy El Camino.
The system is flushed clean and dry, new condenser, waiting expectantly for an accumulator and other miscellaneous parts from AMA.
I have the A6 compressor on the bench, old oil drained and flushed with BVA100 Ester. New double lip shaft seal.

The recommended oil capacity is 11oz. per the tag on the compressor. Does the entire 11 oz go into the compressor sump, or should some be distributed through the system?

It's been a long time since I serviced an A6 compressor. Given what I know now thanks to the forum, I probably did it the wrong way back then. (There's actually oil in there? )

All in the compressor would be fine!
