Just wondering if anybody would know what type of oil is shipped in the new compressors? The item number is in the title, it's a Visteon. I unpacked this one the other day, unscrewed the cover, and it must have built pressure in there, cause I got an oil bath. I drained out the remaining oil, and put in the Ester Glow I had gotten with it. I have a vacuum on the sytem, but have not added the 134a, nor ran the comressor, since I had the afterthought as to the compatability of the shipping oil with the Ester oil.....

Always drain the shipping oil, and use the oil compatible for the refrigerant you're using..BVA is the right choice in my opinion...
