2004 Acura TSX Blown Compressor

fastsvo on Thu May 06, 2010 7:36 PM User is offline

Year: 2004
Make: Acura
Model: TSX
Engine Size: 2.4li

The compressor blew up the other day and now I am facing some serious expenses. Anyone have a suggestion as to where to purchase the compressor and drier? I could only find a 2.4li Honda compressor on this site and they do not list the TSX model. Should I only go for an OEM unit? How well do the aftermarket/rebuilt units hold up? Are they any stronger than the OEM units? Apparently, this is quite common on these cars.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Eric

New compressor is available. Item number 20-21755. It's not listed on the site at this time but again is available.

Drier is special order 2 weeks. 37-18772. Make sure there is no debris as this is just a bag that goes in the condenser. If debris replace the condenser also.

Expansion Block. 31-31149 available.

If your compressor did the typical scroll compressor thing of a hole in the side and parts on the road, definitely replace condenser.
