It seems that close family always brings the biggest PITA jobs, darn it.
I need to replace the evaporator in my Sisters Chrysler 300M, which requires removing the instrument panel. I'm hoping someone here is familiar with that vehicle. I've done countless Ford, Lincoln, Dodge Truck and Chrysler Mini-Van evaps, but never one on this particular Mopar series vehicle.
The center console will have to come out and I'll likely remove the front seats for extra working room. Are there any potential "gotchas" on this vehicle? Does the suitcase have to be completely removed, or can the core be replaced in-situ? Is a new heater core a good idea? (Ford products ALWAYS get a new heater core while I have them apart).
I'm hoping this will be similar to a mini-van, but any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom
