What is ND-7 oil?

94RX-7 on Sun June 27, 2010 7:01 PM User is offline

The sticker on the back of the TV14C compressor on my RX-7 states that it uses ND-7 oil. I found one reference online that indicated that this is POE 100. Can anybody confirm that this is what ND-7 oil is?

This is the only information I could find on ND-7 oil:

"That would seem to cover the waterfront, but it really doesn't. Denso, for example, makes Toyota-application compressors that are not used by GM and that have requirements for special additives. The old R-12 DENSO “TV” rotary vane (Tercel/Paseo primarily), requires a synthetic oil labeled ND-7, not mineral oil (labeled ND-6 as used in other Toyota R-12 systems)."

Our chart here shows that for the Mazda TV compressors, it takes PAG 100 oil. But if it were me, I would use our BVA Auto 100 Oil.

Yeah...I saw that article. I figure I'm going to just end up using POE since as far as I can tell that's what is in there now, and the only other reference I could find indicated ND-7 is POE.
