Is there such a thing as too much cycling of a clutch.
First off I like to thank you all the people that have helped me in fixing my AC. I finally got around to completing it today after putting off the charging due to the winter months.
I recharged today and finally got some cool air. However I slightly overcharged by 35 grams of freeon. The spec for the car calls for 500-550 grams for a 2001 Honda Civic 1.7 liter. So I charged for a total of 585 grams. I noticed no problem like bogging or hesitation whatsoever in acceleration.
However I do noticed the clutch cycling quite often when in low blower speed but not in max full speed. Let me say however that I didn't pay attention if it was like this prior to the repair. So I have nothing to compare to.
So in conclusion I like to ask what should I expect to be the normal interval for clutch cycling and should I worry about the overcharge? I also like to add that I recently moved to CA so the summer heat here is never over 100 degree unlike TX if that should be factor in overcharging.
Thank you all!!!
