Replacing Condenser and Drier Amount Of Oil For Each?

Bench on Wed July 28, 2010 5:22 PM User is offlineView users profile

Year: 2001
Make: Toyota
Model: Tundra
Engine Size: 4.7
Refrigerant Type: R134
Country of Origin: United States

I think I remember reading it some where, but wanted to make sure.

I ordered it from ACKits, and may have the info in the box, but wanted to be ready to install when it gets here.

Condenser 2oz.
Drier 1oz.

Thanks, Bench.

Mitchell recommends replacing .71oz for the drier and 1.4-1.7oz for the condenser. I would say 1oz and 2oz is a safe bet. As always though, I would recommend flushing the remaining components of the system and start over with a fresh amount of oil. Too much oil can affect cooling efficiency and too little can damage the compressor.
