Hi there I got this car and replaced the compressor due to a faulty compressor clutch, add about 3 onz of pag 46 new dryer, I pulled vacuum for 1 hour charged the system to specifications but now that the system is charged no cooling the readings are 10 psi for the low side but if I accelerate the car it will go into vacuum and the high side is about 200 to 220 psi, could this be a restriction in the system if so were should I start thank you.
A REAL good place to start to looking is the expansion valve.
First, check the dryer assembly for ice or frost. It is possible to have a restriction in the dryer, causing the low side to go into vacuum.
If the dryer is warm, and the line to the TXV is warm, recover the system, and pull the TXV.
The blockage is someplace between the condensor outlet & the TXV. It should be cold where ever it is.

Hi, the problem was the expansion valve I replace it and flushed the whole system I do have a question what would be the proper oil charge for this car I checked with alldata manual and says 8 Onz but I also checked with Mitchell and says 4 onz any body have an idea thank you.
Check Refrigerant and oil chart seems it calls for 7.75 (8 ounces in the one) for the "total" system requirements..
