Year: 2007
Make: Dodge
Model: Nitro
Engine Size: 3.7 L
Refrigerant Type: 134a
Ambient Temp: 72
Pressure Low: 48
Pressure High: 275
Country of Origin: United States
I put the gauges on my buddy's above Nitro after he complained of no cold air.
The low side was 30 or so, and the high side was like 250.
I added approx. 1/2 a pound of 134a, and I got 48/275 at idle.
I am not too familiar with modern cars, but the high side seems way high to me.
Anyone know what pressures we should be shooting for with this car?
Thanks.
Seems to be overcharged now.
Running 30 / 250 ought to be making cold. Were the lines getting cold? If so it's not a refrigeration issue.

Thanks mk378 and thanks TRB for the real numbers.
Yep, we're way high on the low side now.
Any suggestions? Should we just evacuate and fill with the correct amount?
Thanks again.
It's always good to have a base to start from.
