The high-side valve on the Chevy Silverado is leaking significantly. I noticed it does not have a normal looking schrader style valve core in it. Instead, it had what looked like a little black rubber ball in there. I was able to pop out that rubber piece with a small screwdriver, and it's not a ball, but a rubber cap of some kind shaped like half of a ball. It was covering the valve which has the appearance of a piece of flat black plastic.
Parts catalog says the replacement valve core is p/n 03041827 and same as the low side. All the images I've found online show it to look like a standard schrader-style valve core. Is this really the correct replacement part, or is there an error in the parts catalog?
Might be what we call a primary valve.
