how measure fitting size

Ok guys a really quick question. me and a couple others on a diff forums board are swapping ls1's into our cars.

Now we would really like to buy the ac lines and fittings ourselves and just take them to a shop to be crimped. This is way more cost effective than just taking two sets of hoses to a shop and having them custom built $$$ wise. Plus we swapped the engine so we like to do as much of the build as we can.

now there are plenty of diff hoses we can use. the problem we are having is figuring out the beadlock fitting sizes to order online. our nissan firewall fittings are metric and very large. i know how to read the thread pitch. my big concern is how to measure the size? im going to be using some digital dial calipers. do i measure from outside of thread to outside of thread?

we are also looking at the aeroquip ez hose system. only problem is i dont think aeroquip stocks a metric fitting. I have found beadlock metric fittings though for just the firewall.

the drier and condensor can be universal. im using the stock ls compressor. So if you guys have any suggestions thats the main problem we have now. I just need to measure fittings and figure out how to install the highpressure switch the ls systems uses.
