The system doesn't cool. I think the used compressor I bought is bunk, so another one is on the way. During the process, I replaced the expansion valve as well and the new 4Seasons one says "R134a". Even though it was cross referenced as compatible.
The sensing bulb mounts at evaporator exit and senses superheat to modulate the valve. Looking at the PT chart, it would appear that the R134a charge in the valve would cause it to read equal temperature when superheat is 2deg. is this going to cause any issue or am I better off draining the compressor oil and replacing the charge with R134a?
I am not able to locate any original R12 charged TXV.
