Model: pickup

this little truck has never had air. Bought the kit designed for this truck. Just finished installing it, compressor wont kick in. Charged the system thinking the low coolant switch would then kick in. notta.... I went to a jumper from the power source to the clutch wire and compressor kicked in.(that meant bypassing the solenoid) finished adding coolant and have cool, not cold air, pulled the jumper and reconnected the system. compressor still not kicking in. checked the fuse box and found a AC fuse, it was good but still replaced it. I'm stumbling through this whole thing and don't have and AC skills to pull from. Any ideas where to start?

Check that you have power coming out of the HPCO switch on the drier. Should have power going in and out with a fully charged system.
