Mazda CX-7 2008 high side service port cap

Cussboy on Tue December 25, 2012 4:38 PM User is offline

Year: 2008
Make: Mazda
Model: CX-7
Refrigerant Type: R134a

I was doing a little bulb replacement on my daughter's Mazda CX-7 2008, and noticed that the high side service port cap (R134a) was missing. None of the half-dozen or so spares I had would fit; the Mazda's thread size was larger than like on my 2005 Yukon. I wasn't aware that there were different size high side service caps for any vehicle.

So would NAPA or CarQuest even have this, or is this a Mazda-only item? What would the terminology be? I'm guessing that AMA knows the answer to this. Thanks.
